Full-service providers also pay employees by direct deposit and file payroll taxes for you. If you want that done for you, they are worth the monthly fee. If you would rather keep paying people and filing your usual way, LeoFolio costs a fraction.

Pricing questions.

When am I charged?

Only when you complete a pay run. Preparing, calculating and reviewing are free, and you can leave a draft and come back. Checkout is by card through Stripe, in U.S. dollars.

Does the price change with the number of employees?

No. A Pay Run covers one employer and up to five employees for one pay period, for one price.

What is included in a Pay Run?

Employee pay statements, the payroll register (PDF and CSV), the funds summary with what to pay and when, the bookkeeper handoff with a journal entry, and the quarterly and year-end figures built from your runs: Forms 941, 940, W-2 and W-3 in the U.S., T4 and RL-1 in Canada.

Do bonus and final-pay runs cost the same?

Yes. An off-cycle bonus or final-pay run is a pay run like any other.

What does Owner Payroll cover?

Every U.S. Pay Run in which you, the owner, are the only employee of your company, for the calendar year you buy it. Bought from October 1, it also covers the next year. It is one payment and does not renew.

Is there a discount for bookkeepers?

The firm tools are free: the client list, your name and logo on reports, and hours links for clients. Each client pay run is $7.99, the same as for the employer.

What if something goes wrong?
